The purpose of the Communication Ministry is to facilitate communications to our parishioners and community about Emmanuel Episcopal Church’s people, events, worship and outreach. We believe in open, honest and transparent communications. We also serve our parish by assisting with marketing and publicity.
Communication Ministry utilizes many different communication vehicles. We publish a quarterly newsletter called the Clarion. We maintain content on our parish web site www.emmanuel-lagrange.org. We facilitate monthly parish forums with the Vestry and Rector to foster more two-way communications. Parish communications also include a weekly e-Ministry communication from the Rector and Religious Education Director. We are also embracing social media as way to foster more timely communications by hosting a Facebook Group entitled “e-mmanuel”.
The Communication Ministry is vital to the parish community because it connects people by sharing information about our church, our parishioners, our events and our beliefs. A strong communication plan and footprint helps grow our church and supports other ministries within our church such as Parish Life, Outreach, Stewardship and Invitational Ministry.
The Communication Ministry is served by our rector and several parishioner volunteers. They meet once a month at the church on Saturday mornings at 11am. If you have an interest in marketing, communications, advertising or graphics and would like to serve on this ministry, we would love to have you join us!
