Current COVID-19 Information

It is our intention to use this page to provide up-to-date information on Emmanuel's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Announcements will also be posted to our Facebook page. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

  • As of August 17, 2021, face masks are required to be worn at all times while inside Emmanuel's facilities.
  • We currently have one Sunday service at 9:15am with organ but no singing. As of September 12, 2021, we will return to two services: 8am and 10am. The 8am service will be without music. The 10am service will include congregational singing (with masks), the choir, and our fabulous refurbished pipe organ.
  • Socially-distanced seating is available in the rear pews of the church. Social distancing is discretionary in the remaining pews.
  • Holy Communion is being distributed with special precautions, including wine in small single-use compostable cups. The common cup (or chalice) is not being used at this time.
  • Hand sanitizer is readily available throughout the building, including in the worship space.
  • Restrooms and high-touch points such as doorknobs are sanitized regularly and after large events.
  • We are not currently having Coffee Hour after church.
  • Staff are working from the building as normal, although encouraged to telework if feeling sick or exposed to a sick person.
  • We installed an air purifier in the worship space's HVAC system in September 2020. It has been tested to provide a very significant reduction in circulating microbes, including the SARS-CoV-2 virus. (For those interested, it's a GPS-iMOD Modular Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization Air Purification System.)
